Do I need travel insurance and when do I buy it?

Unless you hold a policy already, we recommend you buy travel insurance as soon as you make a booking. You will then be covered from that point until the end of your travel period.

In case of unforeseen cancellation, where you need to make a claim, please ensure your policy covers the entire cost of your holiday. For example, if your holiday costs £5000, the Cancellation cover should match or be higher than this amount.

It can often be a condition of travel that you have appropriate holiday insurance cover in place and some cruise lines may ask to see evidence of the policy.
