Tilbury Port is on the north bank of the River Thames. The port has been open since 1886, and started as a passenger port. However, it is now the UK's leading port for a variety of cargo and goods.
The historic London International Cruise Terminal continues to operate as a terminal for cruise passengers and offers a home port to Ambassador Cruise Line.
Other cruise lines that have been known to offer sailings from Tilbury are Hurtigruten, Fred Olsen, and Azamara, to name but a few.
The port is well connected to public transport links and by road, if you are driving. The port has one terminal, which is located just a short distance from Tilbury Station, where there are connecting taxis and buses.
