Virgin Voyages do things a little differently. All essential drinks such as water, fruit juice, tea, coffee, and soda are included in the cruise fare.
So does Virgin Voyages offer a drinks package? No, they don't! But they do offer their guests to add on a Bar Tab, which acts in the same way as onboard credit, which can be spent on drinks.
Virgin Voyages Bar Tab
The bar tab can be used on both the Virgin Voyages ships as well as on their private island resort, The Beach Club at Bimimi.
With the bar tab, you can enjoy a large selection of drinks from mocktails to cocktails, specialty cocktails, freshly pressed juices, and a large range of alcoholic beverages.
To add a bar tab to your voyage, guests can choose from three credit amounts; $100, $200, or $300. If you pre-purchase your bar tab before sailing you will receive an additional credit (up to $50 depending on the amount you purchase).
Bar tabs can be purchased up to 24 hours before sailing. Bar tabs cannot be purchased onboard the ship.
Why choose a Bar Tab?
The Virgin Voyages bar tab is a great way to budget for your cruise, and unlike many other cruise line drink packages you can share your bar tab with other guests!
You will receive an additional credit when you pre-purchase a bar tab.
Average drink prices across the Virgin Voyages fleet
- Beer - $6-$7 (tip included)
- Basic cocktails - $10 (tip included)
- Wine by the glass - $11 and under on average (tip included)
You can also bring your own bottle of wine to dinner if you wish. But keep in mind that there’s a $25 corkage fee at the restaurants (which you can use your bar tab on).
Please note: Any unused credit will not be refunded.
How do I purchase a bar tab?
