• Medications and medical supplies should be officially labelled with their original identifying labels, stating the name of the medication, pharmaceutical active ingredients, manufacturer, prescribed dosing of the medication, total number of medications issued, and date of issue. The label should also include patient identifiers, with the patient’s name as a minimum.
• For restricted/controlled medications (including Opiate-based medications and hypnotics) we would also recommend that guests carry an explanatory medical letter from their treating physician detailing the indication for its use. This should be signed and dated by the treating physician. Onboard staff will not routinely ask to see the documentation; however, it may be requested if there are queries by local authorities or additional information is required.
• Medications not permitted: Any medications containing drugs of abuse or equivalents which are designated as such, in any of the geographic areas we visit. This includes, but is not limited to, medical Marijuana, and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Illegal narcotics/drugs including synthetic designer drugs/New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), Marijuana, and any products containing THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are not permitted.
