What is API and why do you need it?

API is Advanced Passenger Information. This information is required by us, cruise lines, and airlines. What does it include?

• Date of birth
• Country of residence
• Nationality
• Passport number
• Passport expiry date
• Passport issue date
• Passport Country of Issue
• Passport Place of Birth (Town/City)

Next of Kin (note, this cannot be someone who is in your travel party):

• Next of Kin's name
• Relationship to you
• Telephone number
• Address

In many instances, this information is required in order for your travel documents to be released. You can add this yourself via the check-in link on the Cruise Line system.

If API is required, we will contact you approximately 30 days prior to departure.  

It is your responsibility to add the required information to your booking. Passengers do have to complete their own API themselves.
